WHEELCHAIR-CHAMBER

From NeuroRehab.wiki

SUMMARY

1. Camber is the wheel angle against the vertical axis where the bottom of the wheel is out further than the top of the wheel.

2. Positions the wheel in a better biomechanical location to the shoulder joint, making propulsion easy, improving lateral stability.

3. Camber is available in increments ranging from 2o to 12o. For an everyday WC use: 2o to 5o.

4. The width of the WC seat dictates the degree of camber that is chosen to ensure that the WC can fit through doorways.
