THORACIC VERTEBRA-PEDICLE
SUMMARY
1. Projects from the upper half of the body, its upper border is level with it
2. Hence, the thoracic vertebral body is not involved with the vertebral foramen above it
3. The upper border of the pedicle curves up (superior vertebral notch) to the superior articular process
4. The lower border of the pedicle curves down (inferior vertebral notch) to the inferior articular process, which forms the upper boundary of the intervertebral foramen below
