SUMMARY
1. Extends from the iliac crest to the inferior gluteal fold.
2. The sciatic nerve enters the gluteal region from a point 1/3 of the way up from the ischeal tuberosity to the PSIS where is lies on the posterior surface of the ischium.
3. In the buttock the sciatic nerve lies under the cover of the gluteus maximus midway b/w the greater trochanter and the ischial tuberosity.
