STROKE-PRESENTATION, EMBOLIC
SUMMARY
1. Sudden onset, usually occurs whilst awake.
2. Neuro deficit is commonly worst at onset. Seizures may occur at the onset.
3. Embolic strokes typically are not preceded by a TIA (only 11%).
4. There may be multiple emboli, hence multiple territories involved.
