SUMMARY

1. Direct remediation/cognitive skills training to re-establish previously learned patterns of behaviour.

2. Compensatory strategy training: via internal or external compensatory cognitive mechanisms (such as aids, environmental modifications and support).

GOALS
3. Re-establish previously learned patterns of behavior.
4. Establish new patterns of cognitive activity through internal compensatory cognitive mechanisms.
5. Establish new patterns of activity through external compensatory mechanism.
6. Enable persons to adapt to their cognitive disability.
