SUMMARY

1. Mostly asymptomatic.

2. May present with tethered cord assoc. with intraspinal lipoma, diastematomyelia (split cord), lipomeningocele or lipomyelomeningocele, syrinx, sacral agenesis.

3. Spina bifida services (e.g. SBART in NSW) will often see patients with NTDs other than myelomeningocele.
