SUMMARY

1. Non-ergot derived dopamine agonists (ropinirole and pramipexole) can be useful as mono-therapy, but 60% of patients will require adjunctive L-dopa after 4 years.

2. Know that these dopa agonists, ropinirole and pramipexole, are associated with impulse control disorders, such as hypersexuality, compulsive shopping, and pathological gambling.
