SUMMARY

1. Reminding patients to extend hips whilst standing: offsetting forward trunk flexion.

2. Relaxation techniques, including shoulder-girdle exercises with a broom-stick handle or pulley.

3. Back flexion & extension exercises: to improve balance & posture in sitting & standing.

4. Pelvic-tilt exercises: to maintain postural alignment.

5. Quadriceps & hip extensor strengthening: to assist in climbing stairs & arising from sitting position.

6. Passive & active-assisted stretching exercises: for rigidity and bradykinesia.
