SUMMARY
1. LSVT/BIG is a physical and/or occupational therapy approach that has extrapolated the concepts developed by LSVT.
2. To treat limb and trunk rigidity and bradykinesia.
3. Intensive treatment uses repetitive movements that are high amplitude and demonstrative with the intent to counteract patients’ proprioceptive sense that contributes to the restrictive movement patterns that occur with Parkinson disease and that result in a misperception of normal and fluid movement.
