SUMMARY
A. NOCICEPTIVE PAIN
1. Musculoskeletal pain: e.g. fractures, osteoarthritis, muscle stain/spasm
2. Visceral pain: e.g. AMI, bowel infarction
3. Other nociceptive pain: e.g. autonomic dysreflexia (AD) headache
B. NEUROPATHIC PAIN
1. At-level SCI pain (3 levels below the NLI): e.g. cord or nerve root compression
2. Below-level SCI pain (below 3 levels below the NLI): e.g. spinal cord ischemia
3. Other neuropathic pain: e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome, trigeminal neuralgia
C. OTHER PAIN
E.g. Fibromyalgia, CRPS
