OTIC GANGLION-SITE

SUMMARY
1. Small flat body that lies between the mandibular nerve and tensor palati, just below the foramen ovale.
2. It is about 2-3 mm in diameter and is closely applied to the nerve.
3. It is a relay station for the parasympathetic secretomotor fibers to the parotid.
