SUMMARY
1. Parasympathetic: fibres from the inferior salivary nucleus (via the IX nerve) relay in the ganglion
2. Sympathetic: fibres from the superior cervical ganglion pass through the ganglion without relay
3. Sensory: from the parotid gland via the auriculo-temporal nerve to the trigeminal ganglion
4. Somatic motor root: the otic ganglion has additional somatic motor roots from the nerve to the medial pterygoid which supply the tensor tympani & palati
