ORTHOSES-FOR OA

From NeuroRehab.wiki

SUMMARY

1. The Swedish knee cage three-point principle for genu recurvatum can be applied to OA of the knee (most commonly medial compartment).

2. A morbidly obese patient with an abundance of fatty tissue around the knee will not support the KO adequately.

3. In such cases where this KO and surgery are precluded, the foot orthoses with lateral buildup should be considered.
