SUMMARY

HISTORY
1. Consumption of contaminated food: home canned vegetables, potatoes, fish & preserved sea food
2. Skin wounds: drug use

EXAMINATION
3. Dilated pupils
4. Ptosis, diplopia
5. Bradycardia/hypotension
6. Reduced reflexes
7. Minimal/no sensory features

INVESTIGATIONS
8. Search for toxin in serum, faeces & implicated food

MANAGEMENT
9. Supportive, anti-toxin (best in 1st 24hrs)
