NEGLECT-ASSESSMENT

SUMMARY

1. Line bisection: have the patient bisect 5 lines, each drawn on a separate sheet of paper. A deviation of 6mm or more is indicative of unilateral spatial neglect.

2. Line cancellation: present the patient with a single page on which 20 lines are drawn, each in a different orientation. Neglect may be suggested if the patient omits two or more lines on one half of the page.

3. Letter cancellation: have the patient circle all the letter As on the the sheet with 4 on each side and 70 distractor letters in between.

4. Clock construction: have the patient draw a clock on a piece of paper.

5. Behavioral Inattention Test: which includes the above tests.
