SUMMARY
MNEMONIC: SSIT!
3. Infraspinatus: arises from the medial 3/4 of the infraspinous fossa. Inserted into the central facet of the greater tuberosity. The infraspinatus bursa separates it from the bare area of the scapula. Supplied by the suprascapular nerve (C5 & C6). Lateral rotator of the humerus.
4. Teres minor: arises from the axillary border of the scapula. Passes behind the origin of the long head of the triceps to be inserted into the lowest facet of the greater tuberosity of the humerus. Supplied by the posterior branch of the axillary nerve (C5 & C6). Lateral rotator & adductor of the humerus.
