MSK-ISOMETRIC VS ISOTONIC

From NeuroRehab.wiki

SUMMARY

1. Isometric exercise: do not move muscles through a range. Instead, the muscles are at tension but of stable length (there is no change in length).

2. Isotonic exercise: the muscle maintains equal tone whilst shortening during isotonic exercise, i.e. it maintains the same tension throughout the exercise.
