SUMMARY

1. Dysesthetic, irresistible urge to move the legs assoc. with sleep & inactivity.

2. Types: primary (idiopathic), secondary (iron deficiency, peripheral neuropathy).

3. Possibly due to deficiency of dopamine D2 receptors, sympathetic hyperactivity, or under-activity of GABA/serotonin systems.

4. Treatment: pramipexol.
