MND-POST POLIO SYNDROME (PPS) CRITERIA

SUMMARY

Halstead & Rossi (1987) criteria:
1. A confirmed history paralytic polio
2. Partial or complete recovery
3. A period of neurologic & functional stability for at least 15 years
4. Onset of one of the following: fatigue, new weakness, muscle and/or joint pain, functional loss (difficulty walking & stair climbing), cold intolerance, new atrophy
5. No other confounding factors
