MINIMAL CHANGE DISEASE (MCD)

SUMMARY

1. Nephrotic-range proteinuria (nephrotic syndrome, renal presentation)
2. More common in children
3. Causes: NSAIDs, lymphoma, atopy
4. Complications: risk of infections and DVT
5. Histopath: loss of foot processes, oval fat bodies
6. Management: steroids
7. Generally very good prognosis
