SUMMARY

1. Median n. enters the hand through the carpal tunnel, deep to flexor retinaculum, between tendons of FCR & FDS. 2. Divides into terminal branches in hand: palmar cutaneous branches & recurrent motor branch.

PALMAR CUTANEOUS BRANCH
3. Supplies: palmar skin & dorsal nail beds of lateral 3.5 digits.

RECURRENT MOTOR BRANCH
4. Curves back to supply: lateral 2 lumbricals, opponens pollicis, abductor pollicis brevis, flexor pollicis.
