SUMMARY

1. Contents separated from the anterior compartment by the medial intermuscular septum.
2. No septum dividing them from the posterior compartment.
3. Medial intermuscular septum lies deep to the femoral vessels and is a continuation of the fascia lata in the floor of the saphenous opening.
4. Superficial contents - gracilis, adductor longus, adductor brevis.
5. Deep contents - adductor magnus, obturator externus.
6. Others - obturator nerve, obturator vessels, profunda femoris artery.
