GLOMERULONEPHRITIS-NEPHROTIC SYNDROME
SUMMARY
1. A non-inflammatory process.
2. Presents with > 3.5 g/day proteinuria and edema +/- urine oval fat bodies, often without RBC & casts in the urine sediment.
3. Renal function may be preserved.
4. Hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, and hypoalbuminemia are classic features.
