GLOMERULONEPHRITIS-CRYSTAL STORING HISTIOCYTOSIS
SUMMARY
1. Numerous enlarged histiocytes containing MIg are noted in the glomeruli and/or interstitium.
2. LM: glomerular capillary loops infiltrated with histiocytes, sometimes associated with membranoproliferative features and subendothelial deposits.
3. Deposits: typically κ light chain restricted.
4. Presentation: proteinuria with or without NS & renal insufficiency.
5. Most frequently seen in setting of Multiple Myeloma and lymphoproliferative disorders. Only rarely seen in MGRS.
