SUMMARY
Increases gut motility, stimulates secretion, relaxes sphincters.
1. Vagus: parasympathetic (PS) supply from oesophagus to 2/3 of transverse colon.
2. Minimal PS innervation to the small intestine.
3. Pelvic nerve (S2-S4): PS supply from distal 1/3 transverse colon to rectum.
