SUMMARY
MOTOR/SENSORY ASSESSMENT
1. Sensation
2. Visual field assessment for hemianopia
3. Contralateral neglect: by testing sensation in the UL/LL or approaching the subject from either side
4. Dressing apraxia: flip a jacket upside down and as the subject to wear it correctly
5. Agraphaesthesia: inability to recognize letters or numbers drawn on the skin
6. Bilateral (or contralateral) astereognosis: inability to identify an object by touch alone
7. Abnormal 2-point discrimination, normal: 3cm on the hands and feet, 0.6cm on the fingertips
PEN TO PAPER TASKS
8. Constructional apraxia
- Reproduction drawings: copy a vertical diamond, 2D cross, 3D cube
- Drawings to command: ask the patient to draw a clock with numbers and hands on it, daisy in a flowerpot, house in perspective
- Block design test: the subject is required to arrange multi-colored cubes according to specific designs
