DEEP FLEXORS OF FOREARM-FLEXOR DIGITORUM PROFUNDUS
SUMMARY
1. O: anterior & medial surfaces of proximal 3/4 of the ulna & interosseous membrane. 2. Gives rise to 4 tendons which pass into the hand deep to the flexor retinaculum.
3. I: palmar base of the distal phalanges of the medial 4 fingers.
4. NS: medial half - ulnar n.; lateral half - median n.
5. A: flexion of the DIPJ of medial 4 fingers, assists with flexion of PIPJ & MCPJ of the medial 4 fingers and wrist.
