CRPS-BUDAPEST CRITERIA

SUMMARY

1. Continuing pain which is disproportionate to the inciting event.

2. The patient must report at least 1 symptom in 3 of the following 4 categories: sensory (hyperaesthesia, allodynia), vasomotor (temperature asymmetry, skin color changes), sudomotor (oedema, sweating), motor (decreased ROM, weakness, trophic changes).

3. The patient must have at least 1 sign in 2 of the following 3 categories: sensory (hyperalgesia, allodynia), vasomotor (temperature asymmetry, increased/decreased sweating), motor (decreased ROM, weakness, trophic changes).

4. Other diagnoses should be excluded.
