CORPUS CALLOSUM-RELATIONS
SUMMARY
1. It lies at the floor of the longitudinal fissure.
2. On either side, the body is separated from the cingulate gyrus by the cingulate sulcus.
3. The fornix, a curved flat band involved in memory is attached below & anterior to the concave undersurface of the corpus callosum.
4. The corpus callosum and the fornix are attached to the bilateral vertical laminae of the septum pellucidum.
5. On the upper surface of the corpus callosum is a thin film of grey matter: induseum griseum, beneath which lie the medial and longitudinal striae. These appear to be aberrant fibers of the fornix.
