SUMMARY
SITE & FUNCTION
1. The corpus callosum is located in the medial surface of the cerebral hemispheres
2. This is an enormous sheet of commisural fibers that run between corresponding areas of the two cortices
PARTS
3. The curved anterior portion is the genu, continuous below with the rostrum
4. The genu continues behind with the body/trunk which then arches backwards and ends as the thick, rounded splenium
