SUMMARY
1. After giving a meningeal branch to the anterior part of the middle cranial fossa, passes through the foramen rotundum in the greater wing of the sphenoid to enter the pterygopalatine fossa.
2. It then passs through the infraorbital groove ⟹ canal, running along the floor of the orbit.
3. Changes its name to infraorbital nerve as it exits the infraorbital foramen to supply the skin of the face.
