SUMMARY

5. Posterior-Superior Alveolar nerve: begins as a single branch of the maxillary nerve. Divides into 3 further branches which emerge through the pterygomaxillary fissure
- Two of the branches supply the mucosa of the maxillary sinus & 3 molars
- One branch pierces the buccinator to supply the gum of the vestibule adjacent to the 3 molars
