CARDIAC INX-CORONARY ANGIOGRAPHY
SUMMARY
1. Gold standard for the diagnosis of CAD; ventriculograms and aortic root angiography can be done simultaneously.
2. Can assess coronary anatomy (through contrast ventriculography), EF, wall motion abnormalities, ventricular dilatation, degree of MR, & the presence of a ventricular aneurysms.
3. Invasive procedure with - 1% risk of death, MI, stroke, arrhythmia, renal failure, bleeding.
