SUMMARY
1. No need for intermittent self-catheterisation every 4-6 hours.
2. Continuous drainage, decreased risk of over-distension of the bladder and complications: UTI, stone, reflux.
3. No need for good dexterity, can be done by an attendant.
4. Decreased risk of repetitive trauma from repeated intermittent self-catheterization.
