SUMMARY

Tip: CO = HR x SV

1. Increased CO: due to increased arterial baroreceptor activity.

2. Increased venous return: due to increased atrial baroreceptor activity.

3. Expiration: due to increased venous return & increased atrial baroreceptor activity.

4. Emotions (fear): due to limbic cortex inhibiting the vasomotor area.

5. Hypothermia.

6. Raised ICP: due to Cushing's response.
