ATN-MANAGEMENT

SUMMARY

1. Initial management of ATN includes treating the precipitating cause and any hyperkalemia.

2. Maintain normovolemia, adequate blood pressure, and nutritional support.

3. Discontinue nephrotoxins, including ACEis/ARBs and NSAIDs. Avoid contrast exposure.

4. Oliguric ATN usually resolves in 1-4 weeks.
