ARRHYTHMIAS-PVC
SUMMARY
1. Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) often have a compensatory pause; they do not reset the SA node.2. Form of ventricular arrhythmia.
3. Asymptomatic PVCs do. Pt require treatment, most resolve spontaneously.
4. If you do attempt treatment (beta-blockers are first line), the PVCs should decrease by 80% for the treatment to be considered successful.
