AMPUTATION-PARTIAL FOOT

SUMMARY
1. Toe: shoe-filler adequate.
2. Transmetatarsal amputation: interferes with the arch, may lead to equinovarus deformity, cut MT may be tender. May require partial foot prosthesis or shoe adjustment.
3. Partial foot prosthesis: custom arch support & filler; carbon fibre sole plate which protects the sole & prevents development of equinus; may require rocker sole to prevent toe creak effect.
