SUMMARY

1. Know what and why you are referring to PT.

2. Know the provider and the types of treatment they offer, particularly in private practises.

3. Passive therapies are useless in chronic pain!

4. Long term goal: should be to increase ROM and function whilst improving self-efficacy and quality of life.

5. Ensure that your goals align with the PT.

6. TENS can be trialled for various neuropathic & radicular pain.

7. Regularly review progress, question about the types of therapy and exercises they are doing.
