STROKE-tPA EXCLUSION CRITERIA (RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS)

SUMMARY

1. Severe neurologic impairment with NIHSS score > 22.2

2. Age < 18 years or > 80 years

3. Malignant cerebral infarction

4. Hx of major surgery within 14 days

5. Hx of significant GIT hemorrhage within 21 days

6. Hx of stroke or TBI within 3 months

7. Hx of recent MI within 30 days

8. Advanced, terminal disease (e.g. cancer)

9. Pregnancy is not an absolute contraindication
