1. One of the most potent vascoconstrictors known to man, 3 types: ET-1, ET-2, ET-3.
2. Not stored in vesicles but produced by endothelial cells, made fresh every time via transcription (half-life <1 min).
3. Release triggered by: stretched vascular wall, GF, HDL, oxidised LDL, Angiotensin-II, hypoxia.
4. Release inhibited by (vasodilators): NO, ANP, PGI-2.
