MUSCULOCUTANEOUS NERVE

SUMMARY

ORIGIN 
1. Origin: from the lateral cord of the brachial plexus, C5, 6, 7. 
2. Lies lateral to the axillary a.
3. Descends past lateral border of pactoralis minor. 

COURSE & SUPPLY 
4. Supplies the shoulder joint. 
5. Pierces through the CORACOBRACHIALIS, supplying this muscle.
6. It then passes b/w the BICEPS & BRACHIALIS (supplying both muscles), accompanied by branches/tributaries of the brachial artery & vein. 
7. Its remaining fibers, purely cutaneous now, appears at the lateral margin of the biceps tendon as the lateral cutaneous nerve of the forearm.
