SUMMARY

1. Independent of circulating RAS.

2. Intrarenal RAS: most important tissue RAS.

3. Angiotensin II in renal interstitial fluid is approximately 1000x higher than in the systemic system.

4. Very sensitive to sodium intake.

5. Causes vasoconstriction and anti-natriuresis.
