SUMMARY
1. Seronegative spondyloarthritides are a group of inflammatory spinal arthritides that are rheumatoid-factor and ANA-negative.
2. Subtypes: radiographic (sacroilitis on X-ray, AS, peripheral spondylitis); non-radiographic (either MRI evidence of sacroilitis or HL-B27 positive with clinical features)
3. These arthritides have been categorized as "axial" or "peripheral". Include AS, reactive arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, IBD-associated arthropathy.
4. Predilection for the spine, SI joints, and entheses (where the tendons, ligaments, and joint capsules attach).
5. Asymmetric, large-joint oligoarthritis, usually of the lower extremities.
6. Extra-articular manifestations.
7. Variable association with HLA-B27.
