SUMMARY

1. Median sacral vessels & LN: in the midline

2. Superior hypogastric plexus: extends on the promontory, below is attached the fascia of Waldeyer

3. Sympathetic trunk: on each side of the promontory, medial to the sacral foramina, crosses the base of the ala

4. Piriformis: from 3 ridges (costal elements) between sacral foramina & lateral mass

5. Sacral plexus: lateral to the sacral foramina, on the piriformis (both covered by a parietal pelvic fascia)
