CHRONIC STABLE ANGINA-BETA BLOCKERS & ACEI
SUMMARY
1. Beta-blockers: started and continued for 3 years in all patients with normal LV function. Continue indefinitely ifLVEF < 40%. Use carvedilol, metoprolol succinate, or bisoprolol in all patients with LVEF < 40%, unless contraindicated.
2. ACEis in all patients who also have hypertension, diabetes mellitus, LVEF < 40%, or chronic kidney disease, unless contraindicated (ARB if ACEI intolerant).
