SUMMARY


1. O: lateral margin of ischeal tuberosity. 
2. I: quadrate tubercle on the intertrochanteric crest of the femur & lesser trochanter. 
3. NS: nerve to the quadratus femoris. 
4. A: externally rotates the thigh.
