SUMMARY


1. O: middle 3 pieces of sacrum.
2. I: passes through greater sciatic foramen to insert into apex of greater trochanter. 
3. NS: nerve to piriformis (S1 + S2, anterior rami).
4. A: externally rotates the hip.
