SUMMARY

1. ASIA scoring is not validated in spina bifida.

GOOD PROGNOSTIC FACTORS
2. Lower anatomical lesions, better prognosis if L2 and below, especially below L5. L4-L5 lesions tended to walk 57-90% of the time. Sacral lesions tended to walk mostly[1]

3. No hydrocephalus.

4. Absence or milder severity of Chiari II malformation.
