SUMMARY

1. Wound infection: cultures, swabs.

2. Blood investigations: FBC, CRP, electrolytes, LFT (looking at albumin), Ca/Mg/PO4, if patient is febrile (blood C/S).

3. Imaging if OM or underlying collection/abscess is suspected: X-rays of the leg and heel, ultrasound, MRI.
